| Q: My computer is running too slow. What can be done? |
A: There are a few different reasons why a computer would be running slow.
Most of the time it is because of adware, spyware or viruses. We would
be happy to preform a complete system cleaning for you. Call or just stop
by. In MOST cases, you don't need to reload your system. We don't like
to see anyone loose their files or photos!

| Q: My home page has changed and I can't change it
back. |
A: This happen when your computer has been hijacked. Please bring your computer
system in and let us remove the problem. We will set your home page to
the setting you prefer.

| Q: Can I upgrade my computer? |
A: Please bring the computer in and let us know why
you want it upgraded or what you want upgraded. *This is an answer we can
give after we evaluate your computer system. Not all systems can be upgraded.*
In most cases a good cleaning will help a lot! |
| Q: Are Microsoft updates important? They take too
long to download. |
A: Yes, MS updates are very important to keep up with.
They help keep your system safe and the performace better. When we clean
a system we always make sure you have all the critical MS updates. |
| Q: I keep getting popups. Can you do something to
make them stop? |
A: Yes, when we clean your computer system we provide
you with a pop up blocker. Please be sure to let us know this is one of
or your main concern when you bring it in to be cleaned. |
| Q: Where did the extra icons on my desktop come from? |
A: Adware will, by nature, cause ads to appear on your computer.
These can appear as desktop icons, menu options, browser toolbars/search pages/home pages,
and random pop-up windows which can appear even when you're not browsing the web. If you're
experiencing any or all of these symptoms, we recommend you bring your computer in for a cleaning. |
| Q: What is adware and spyware? How did I get it? |
A: Adware and spyware are programs on your computer that
you typically didn't intend to install, didn't even realize you installed, or
didn't know the nature of when you installed them. Adware will cause unsolicited
ads to appear on your computer, while spyware collects information about you
and sends it to interested parties such as advertisers. |
| Q: I am getting ready to sign up for high speed Internet.
Should I bring my computer in for a check up? |
A: Yes, it is a good idea to bring your computer or
laptop in to MY IT SOLUTIONS to have it cleaned and updated before switching
to high speed or DSL Internet. |
| Q: My computer worked fine until I switched from dialup
to DSL (or high speed internet). |
A: When switching from dial-up to high speed internet, your
computer becomes more vulnerable both to remote attacks and to viruses, adware, and
spware. This is due to the always-on nature of DSL and the speed of the connection,
which simply allows for more browsing (which means more exposure to the web), and also
for things to download and install faster, to the point that you hardly notice them. |
| Q: I can't physically carry my computer. Do you have
a pick up and delivery service? |
A: Yes, we do have a pick up and delivery service.
Please call our office and let us know where you live and that you need
us to come by. We will be happy to schedule an appointment. |
| Q: Do you make house calls? |
A: Yes, we do make house calls. In most cases it would
cost less if you brought the computer in or have us pick it up to work on
it in our office. |
| Q: When I turn on my computer I only get a blue screen.
Can you fix this? |
A: Yes, we can run diagnostic tests to determine if
there is a hardware issue or if it is a software issue. Either way we will
be able to offer you a solution to getting your computer back to work for
you. |
| Q: I have trouble double clicking. Can you help me? |
A: Yes, there are a couple of things we can do. First,
there are settings on your computer that will slow the double click down.
Another thing that will help is for you to practice by playing Solitare. |
| Q: Do you set up home networks? |
A: Yes, My IT Solutions is happy to set up your home

A: Yes, we are happy to build computers that will
fit your needs. There are so many choices out there it's fun to help you
choose what would work best for you. |

A: A custom computer is a computer that is designed
to your specs. You can choose how big your hard drive is, what kind of CD,
CDRW, DVD..etc, how many USB ports you need, the kind of graphics card and
so much more. |
| Q: If I buy a part from somewhere else will you install
it for me? |
A: Yes, we will be happy to install your computer
part for you. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment. In most cases
we can install it for you on the spot for a fee. |
| Q: I have purchased parts to put together my own computer
and found it harder than I thought, will you help me? |
A: Yes, we are happy to put your computer together
for you for a fee. |
| Q: My computer won't dial out to the Internet anymore.
Can you help? |
A: Yes, we can. We will evaluate your system to see
if it is your modem or if you have adware and spyware causing problems for
you. Either case, we can fix the problem. |
| Q: Do you replace worn out or broken parts? |
A: Yes, in most cases we can get replacement parts
for your computer system. We always give an estimate to you before we place
the order. There are some cases where it would be better to spend the money
to purchase a new computer. |
| Q: Can you replace my CD Rom with a CD burner or a
DVD player? |
A: Yes, we usually have these kinds of parts in stock.
If you know of a special one you would like, we can always order it for
you. |
| Q: Do you take used computers? |
A: Yes, we are happy to accept your old computers.
Please stop by our office anytime we are open. If you need help carrying
it in, please just let us know when you come by. |

A: We are located on the Square in downtown Decatur,
Texas. We are on the corner of Walnut and Trinity. Our awning is green and

A: Yes, we do. We offer personalized classes in our
office. Please call for more information. |
| Q: Can you repair a network printer? |
A: Please call us with the make and model of your
network printer and tell us what the problem is. There are a lot of cases
where they can be repaired by us. If not, we have a technician that can
offer advice on which model to replace it with. |

A: Yes, we do build websites. We offer complete full
service web design to just completing the parts you need help with. We also
offer hosting. |

A: Yes, we do! In fact, we have very satisfied customers
